How it works

Prerequisites

There is at least one removable +1/+1 counter on a creature you control.

Steps

Activate Ghave's first ability by paying and removing a +1/+1 counter from a creature you control, creating two 1/1 Saproling creature tokens.
Activate Adaptive Gemguard by tapping the Saprolings, putting a +1/+1 counter on Adaptive Gemguard.
Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing a Saproling, adding .
Repeat.
