How it works
Prerequisites
- The persist creature does not have a -1/-1 counter on it.
- Persist Creature
Steps
- Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing the persist creature.
- When the persist creature dies, it triggers twice, once from its persist ability and once from the ability granted to it by Doom Weaver.
- Resolve the first trigger, causing you to draw a card.
- Resolve the persist trigger, returning the creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
- When the persist creature enters the battlefield, Olivia and Doom Weaver's soulbond ability trigger.
- Resolve the Olivia trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature and causing you to discard a card.
- Resolve the Doom Weaver trigger, pairing it and the persist creature.
- Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
- Repeat.
