How it works

Steps
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the persist creature, adding .
- The sacrificed creature's persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
- The Great Henge triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the persist creature and causing you to draw a card.
- The -1/-1 and +1/+1 counters are removed as a state-based action.
- Repeat.
