Prerequisites

• You have a way to cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
• You have a way to give Hornet Nest indestructible.

Steps

1. 1Give Hornet Nest indestructible, if needed.
2. 2Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
3. 3Halana triggers, causing you to pay to have that creature deal damage equal to its power to Hornet Nest.
4. 4Hornet Nest triggers, causing you to create a number of 1/1 Insect creature tokens equal to the damage dealt.
5. 5When the Insect(s) enters the battlefield, Halana triggers that many times.
6. 6Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing an Insect, adding .
7. 7Resolve the Halana trigger, causing you to pay to deal 1 damage to Hornet Nest.
8. 8Repeat from step 4.
