How it works
Prerequisites
- You have a way to cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
- You have a way to give Saber Ants indestructible.
Steps
- Give Saber Ants indestructible, if needed.
- Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
- Halana triggers, causing you to pay to have that creature deal damage equal to its power to Saber Ants.
- Saber Ants triggers, causing you to create a 1/1 Insect creature token.
- When the Insect enters the battlefield, Halana triggers.
- Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Insect, adding .
- Resolve the Halana trigger, causing you to pay to deal 1 damage to Saber Ants.
- Repeat from step 4.
