How it works
Prerequisites
- You control a green nontoken creature.
Steps
- Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a green nontoken creature.
- When the creature dies, Verdant Succession and Mortuary trigger.
- Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting the creature on top of your library from your graveyard.
- Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, returning the creature from your library to the battlefield.
- Repeat.
