- Cast Desperate Ritual by paying and choosing to pay and reveal Through the Breach from your hand, adding Through the Breach's effects to Desperate Ritual.
- Holding priority, activate Rootha by paying and returning it to your hand, copying Desperate Ritual.
- Resolve the copy of Desperate Ritual, adding and putting Rootha from your hand onto the battlefield.
- Repeat from step 2.
