How it works
Prerequisites
- Your devotion to white is at least four.
Steps
- Cast Reverent Hoplite by paying .
- When Reverent Hoplite enters the battlefield, it and Cloudstone Curio trigger.
- Resolve the Cloudstone Curio trigger, choosing to return nothing to your hand from the battlefield.
- Resolve the Reverent Hoplite trigger, creating a number of 1/1 Human Soldier creature tokens equal to your devotion to white.
- When the Human Soldiers enter the battlefield, Cloudstone Curio triggers that many times.
- Resolve the first Cloudstone Curio trigger, returning Reverent Hoplite to your hand from the battlefield.
- Resolve all remaining Cloudstone Curio triggers, choosing to return nothing to your hand from the battlefield.
- Activate Phyrexian Altar five times by sacrificing five Human Soldiers, adding .
- Repeat.
- If your devotion to white excluding Reverent Hoplite is at least five, this combo will net infinite colored mana.
